I may very well be a hypocrite to believe that many people share the same problems that I face on a daily basis. The reason for this belief to be hypocritical is because I do believe that all people are unique.

However, it is not hypocritical. At least I believe it’s not.

Let me tell you why.

It’s quite simple, and I’m sure you already know the answer I’m about to write. Even though we are all very different and unique, we share a significant amount of similarities with one another. We laugh at comedy (even if we don’t always agree about what’s funny, and we cry when we lose (or scream, shout, break stuff.)

Because no matter how different we may be, no matter how much dye someone puts on their hair, the number of piercings, or in the case of companies the number of advertisements. No matter the differences, we are all still similar.

And if you are like me, a human being, with people in your life, that you care about (and a joyful source of frustration at times,) you have goals that you want to attain, and you have fears and feelings of inadequacy. Worries about the future. It’s all a part of the human experience package.

However, a lot of it is unfortunately self-generated.

Often, for ourselves, we are the main source of:

  • Anxiety
  • Worry
  • Stress
  • Fear
  • Frustration
  • Avoidance

However, we are also the main source of:

  • Joy
  • Happiness
  • Fulfillment
  • Peace
  • Contentedness
  • Excitement
  • Courage

So herein lies a simple truth that life is a matter of choice, and not of fate. It is not pre-determined, at least not in the cosmic sense. The only pre-determined outcomes are the ones that you’ve imagined in your head.

Imagination is very real, and a small ant can seem to be an insurmountable dragon.

When used incorrectly, without direction, creativity and imagination can become our biggest enemies. We will see threats where there are none, and we will see foes, instead of friends.

Do your best to hone your compass on your path to glory, wherever that may lead. Do not be a feather lost to the wind, but rather one attached to an arrow that you control.

Don’t delay. Start here. Start now.
