This is a stupid blog post.

There’s nothing wrong with this blog post at all, but it’s a little dum-dum.

But you clicked anyway.

You had to see what was so stupid, didn’t you?

I guess I need to write something stupid now. Ummm…

Three apples falling to the ground.

That’s quite stupid, no?

But it does open up questions.

  • Why did the apples fall?
  • Why only three apples?
  • What does the apple mean?
  • What kind of apples were they?
  • Where did they fall?

Et cetera.

Ad infinitum.

You can continue asking questions forever and ever and ever. And ever.

There’s nothing stopping you from doing that (apart from mental exhaustion) and there’s nothing particularly wrong with asking as many questions. Nor is it stupid.

So why am I saying that this blog post is stupid?

To be honest, I just wanted to write the title.

All of this body is just an excuse to have something attached to the title because it wouldn’t make sense to publish it otherwise.

That would be stupid.

And it would fulfill my purpose of creating a truly stupid blog post.

Should I just go back and delete this text? But if I do that people won’t get the point. They would assume it’s been a misclick, and that the article will be updated soon (which it never will), or most likely they simply won’t care at all.

Okay, let’s make a deal.

I will pretend that I have published this blog post without all of this text explaining why the blog post is stupid, and you can… You can…

Umm…

You can pretend that there was nothing in this article at all!

Everybody happy now.

Yes. No… Maybe.

I don’t care. The more I write the better (stupider) this blog post gets, which fulfills my purpose.

It would really mean a lot to me if you can comment on this article with something like “This is so stupid.”

You’ve read so far, so why not indulge me with a little nudge of appreciation?
