Focus on The Bigger Picture.
There’s always more that you can make happen.

We all come into this world with nothing.
Breathing itself, the mechanism of living is painful for babies.
Especially that first breath.
Why would it be different for anything else?
It isn’t.
Anything new that you think about has the potential to be “painful.”
We are all limited by the beliefs, ideas, and feelings that we’ve gathered over the years. These limitations are incredibly useful most of the time, but at a certain point, their utility becomes a liability.
Recognizing the truth about the things we’ve always done is painful.
But it is necessary.
In order to thrive, organizations and individuals need to be able to shed ideas, beliefs, and habits that no longer serve them. Well-intentioned lessons from our parents, our mentors, managers, clients, brothers, sisters, friends. They can all become harmful over time.
Instead, learn to identify what serves you today.
Paint a picture for the future, and use that as a lens to see what serves you.
It’s not difficult to know yourself when you consider that you are a being that constantly changes.
If you choose to become the same set of habits, over and over again, let that be your choice. We are all more than happy to keep the hundreds of useful habits we have generated, but we all lack the ability to unlearn the things that no longer serve us.
You can work on becoming the person that you want to be. There is nothing holding you back, except for yourself. Instead, focus on the bigger picture and project your plans on paper. You will see what is holding you back.
Let go of what no longer serves you, and simply start.
