First things, first.

When your client rushes you to get things done, it may be time to change the client you serve.

We’ve all experienced interactions and relationships where we are forced into quick and indecisive actions. Situations where resistance can only lead to immediate removal from the team.

Threats like these however, must be resisted, if we ever hope to do our best work, and should the client decide to move forward without us, we come to a grim conclusion.

We are replaceable.

Grim and important, this conclusion is a sign that you must upgrade your process, improve your skillset, and rise beyond what you currently expect of yourself.

Improve your standards relentlessly, and do not give in to temptations of Netflix, Twitter, YouTube, or whatever else brings you temporary relief and escape.

Note of warning. If you are in a position where you cannot take risks, focus on that first. Improve your financials, save more, and earn more before you plunge yourself to uncertainty.
